This paper reviewed the availability of land and
planning of water infrastructure networks in
Nigeria. There are various challenges facing the
provision of water supply. The review of the
laws based on the stakeholders handling the
provisions of water supply. The laws address the
role of each of the stakeholders in handling the
planning of water infrastructures. The delivery
of water services within the six geo-political
zones in the country. There are various
challenges facing the planning of water supply.
The government needs to provide solutions to
these challenges with the help of the other
stakeholders or agencies such as World Bank,
Africa Development Bank, United Nation, China,
among others.
